About Us

Laserlith's ESA program is performed under the management of the Army Research Laboratory and the Air Force Research Laboratory. The program is in collaboration with the University of North Dakota, where the antenna testing and UAV integration will be performed.

Laserlith is also involved in a number of development programs for radar, inertial guidance and sensor applications.

  • Electronic Steered Antenna (ESA) team established with Laserlith, University of North Dakota, MicroAssembly Tech, and Purdue University.

2008
  • Laserlith moves into the Ina Mae Rude Center at the Center for Innovation on the University of North Dakota campus.
  • Press Conference Event at University of North Dakota School of Engineering and Mines with Senator Dorgan.
  • Army awards ESA Contract Phase I to Laserlith.
  • Army Phase I SBIR contract for microthruster development awarded to Laserlith Corporation, Black Hills Nanosystems and the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
  • Gyroscope development team partnering between Laserlith, University of North Dakota, Ideal Aerosmith, MicroAssembly, and Purdue University.

2009
  • Air Force awards ESA contract to Laserlith.
  • Laserlith moves from Center of Innovation to research facility at Research Enterprise and Commercialization Park.
  • Army approves Phase II ESA contract to Laserlith.
  • Gyroscope development contract from the state of North Dakota.
  • Army Phase II SBIR contract for microthruster development awarded to Laserlith Corporation, Black Hills Nanosystems and the South Dakota School of Mines.
  • Joint Test Agreement between Laserlith and Black Hills Nanosystems for microthrusters.

2010
  • Joint Test Agreement between Laserlith and Resonant Microsystems for fuzes.
  • ESA antenna prototype.
  • Laserlith moves into pilot production facility on Technology Circle in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
  • Laserlith partners with Cavalier County Job Development Authority to develop an energetic testing facility in Nekoma, North Dakota.
  • Air Force approves ESA contract Option 1.
  • In-house cleanroom construction starts.

2011
  • Gyroscope contract from the Department of Energy (RPSEA).
